A daydream from a discount store.. For what it aspires to be -- and we're not talking Sense and Sensibility here -- it works.. Looks like it was shot ultra-cheaply.. Altogether a wasted opportunity from a Disney organization which grows more sclerotic by the minute.. The success of The Lizzie McGuire Movie, in which Duff acts and sings while playing both her beloved character and an Italian look-alike, is probably a slam dunk. That doesn't mean it's a great movie.. Good clean fun.. A banal slice...
