It's a fine, old-fashioned-movie movie, which is to say it's unburdened by pretensions to great artistic significance.. Although Scooby-Doo falls far short of becoming the Blazing Saddles of Generations X, Y and Z, it is hard to resist in its moronic charms.. This new movie version of the Alexandre Dumas classic is the stuff of high romance, brought off with considerable wit.. Old-form moviemaking at its best.. Frequently entertaining and sometimes lovely to look at.. You can count on snoozing.....
